(Fort McMurray, AB – May 3, 2012) – Today, a group citizens pushing to see progress on the twinning of Highway 63 have invited Premier Alison Redford to attend a protest rally being held in Fort McMurray on Saturday, May 5 at 11 a.m.

“We would like Premier Redford to attend the demonstration and listen to the residents of the community,” said Nicole Auser, an organizer of the protest rally. “If she hears our story, she will better understand how the twinning of Highway 63 is vital to our quality of life in the region.”

Premier Redford was asked to attend in representation of the Ministry of Transportation, because the former Minister, the Honourable Ray Danyluk, was not re-elected in his riding in the provincial election on April 23.

I think she should be required to attend and I think she should have to drive all the way there and back. Maybe THAT will convince her to move quicker!!
